The Georgia Department of Transportation closed the I-285 westbound offramp on Roswell Road. It won’t be open until 5 a.m. Monday morning. The ramp to the east is still open.
“You still have to go to point A, point B. The side roads can be bad too, Roswell and Abernathy, but I think we have to deal with it,” said business owner Chris Deetanna.
Also on I-285 to the west, major changes are being prepared for Peachtree-Dunwoody Rd. exit, which means more delays there as well.
“Peachtree-Dunwoody Road will close over the weekend. That’s all in anticipation of preparation for a new exit point,” Kyle Collins of the Georgia Department of Transportation told Jennings.
Collins added that starting Sunday, there will be a new exit location on Peachtree-Dunwoody Rd.
“As a driver, you have to think ahead. I know you’re always asked to do that and be vigilant and think ahead, but really you have to come out when it’s over, ”he said.
