WEST CHESTER – Two close friends, Brenna Medvitz of West Chester and Mary Flynn of Phoenixville, joined forces to launch the Wandering Picnics.
“Wandering Picnics allows guests to make memories with loved ones by creating intimate experiences in beautiful local settings,” Flynn said.
“We’re creating ways to make outdoor gatherings naturally enhanced in settings that are usable, beautiful and environmentally friendly,” he says.
Wandering Picnics brings the party host and guests for outdoor activities, set in parks or family grounds. Event themes range from date nights and book clubs to family brunches and special birthday occasions.
“We provide the table, a rug, area settings, blankets, card games, pillows – and more,” Medvitz said. “We’re also two people who have invested so much in making sure you have the best possible time – it’s in our nature and I think that shows. We want to have a unique event when you book with us and do. we do what we can to make it an experience, not a picnic.
“Our goal is to make a picnic so much more attractive that our customers can’t wait to post on Instagram,” Flynn said. “That’s how we are found by most of our customers. Our customers are our best cheerleaders.”
“We’re always ready to work with our clients to give life to their vision – whether that’s the theme on their mind, how many flowers for the anniversary, or a way to help make it a surprise, “said Medvitz.
Wandering Picnics works with local photographers and caters, including Peter Clark Kitchen.
“We considered ourselves lucky to be a part of so many special occasions last year and look forward to many more,” Flynn said.
The women launched the business in June.
“I’m always very honored when someone trusts us on their special day,” Medvitz said. “Our clients always challenge us with fun, new ideas too. We set up some wineries at their request and did a lot of things we didn’t think of ourselves. I’m so excited to be. see where it takes us this season. ”
