We stopped at Smokin ’Scoops in West Springfield where people lined up all day on Saturday for their homemade ice cream.
Smokin ’Scoops is a unique destination for adults and kids with offerings ranging from sub-zero nitrogen ice cream to full-service bars. Western Mass News spoke with Smokin Scoops owner, John Goodhind, to see how business has been in the past few days.
“It was really nice and finally the wind slowed down too so it was good for us in our backyard now, we’re fully used to it and definitely a lot of people are starting to come out now and I think it’s all coop up. That goes on. and a long winter is good to finally have a nice time, ”Goodhind said.
Goodhind added that the store has some challenges with the supply chain shortage of their plastic and paper cups, but he said the issues are slowly disappearing and the business is strong.
