Health System Honors 24 Physicians at Doctors’ Day Event

NYC Health + Hospitals today honored 24 doctors at the Doctors ’Day event. These doctors are nominated for their outstanding achievements, such as building a weight management clinic in the South Bronx, connecting with a patient who is unable to be treated through music, or developing an award-winning stroke. unit. At the height of the pandemic, in early April 2020, NYC Health + Hospitals had more than 4,000 patients with COVID-19, with 900-plus patients in the ICU on ventilators. Today, the hospital system has 60 patients with COVID-19 and 6 ICU patients with COVID-19.
