From government agencies to large private hospitals; from healthtech startups to individual practitioners; The adoption of the technology by all stakeholders has moved to a faster clip.

The application of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), internet of things (IoT), robotics, data analytics, blockchain, and cloud computing is making deep penetration into the healthcare sector . For emerging economies like India and many African countries, the adoption of RPM solutions is more important than developed economies. Because the availability of health care professionals in these geographies is scarce. Digital technology makes it easy to make these experts available across the country; even in difficult-to-travel areas, hilly terrain, and remote villages where timely treatment is rarely received. However, through RPM applications, doctors can monitor the vital organs of patients living in remote areas and prescribe medications or hospital admissions if there are anomalies.

Therefore, the application of RPM solutions has the potential to bring about revolutionary changes in the health care ecosystem through active health delivery. The Indian government has embarked on an ambitious initiative to create a digital Health ID for every citizen.
