MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Nonprofit Lauren’s Wish held a fashion show fundraiser on Tuesday night at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown.
The fashion show showcases 11 different vendors showcasing men’s and women’s fashion.
Organizational officials weren’t sure of the exact amount of money raised from the event, but they said they were happy with the outcome.
“It was so inspiring every time I sat there and talked to the audience last night, and I looked around and all the seats were filled, and there were people standing on the wall. I just assure you that the community understands the need and they are willing to support it, ”said Michael Cole, founder and chairperson of Lauren’s Wish, and father of Lauren Cole.
Lauren’s WIsh officials are already planning next year’s fashion show, hoping it will become an annual event.
Lauren’s WIsh is a non-profit located inside Hazel’s House of Hope in Morgantown that plans to open soon and help people struggling with addiction.
