Dan Moshavi came to SDSU from San Jose State University.

Moshavi came to San Diego State University from San Jose State University, where he served as dean of Lucas College and Graduate School of Business for the past five years. During this time, Moshavi created new experiences in student learning and professional development, expanded industry and community engagement and strengthened the college’s research and teaching culture. Under his leadership, the college’s undergraduate program has seen significant growth and the percentage of students graduating within four years has doubled.
Prior to his role as dean at SJSU, Moshavi served as professor of management and dean of the business schools at Dominican University of California and Montana State University.
By joining SDSU, Moshavi brings his extensive higher education administrative experience in strategic positioning, fundraising, community and alumni engagement, interdisciplinary program development, university operations, and development. faculty and staff, and leads and manages initiatives that focus on a diverse and first-generation student population. .

Moshavi received his bachelor of arts in international affairs and his Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University. He went on to earn his doctorate in management from the University of Oregon.
