Richard Jefferson jokes Steph Curry will become ‘meme’ after apparent travel

It wouldn’t be an NBA playoff game without viral moments, and ESPN’s Richard Jefferson thinks he saw one in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals at the Chase Center on Friday night.

During the second quarter of the Warriors ’close-out game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Steph Curry posted a 3-pointer that looked nice on entry, but the first three was interesting.

The Golden State star point guard appeared to shuffle his path behind the arch before sinking the shot, and Jefferson was on top of him for the obvious ride.

“He’s 100 percent traveling. He’s 100 percent traveling,” Jefferson said on the ESPN broadcast. “That could be a meme then.”

This isn’t the first time this Curry series has been linked to a viral clip, as the entire Memphis crowd enjoyed his expense at FedExForum Wednesday night for his “Whoop That Trick” comment made before the Game 5.

The Grizzlies were furious when the referees didn’t call a traveling violation on Curry, and Golden State entered at halftime with a 53-51 lead over it expected to end the series and advance to the Western Conference finals.

If things continue the way Curry and the Warriors, they can just get over it.
