Are you someone who has trouble sleeping on airplanes? Have you ever wondered how some people completely use their travel time to get some much needed sleep. Sleeping on a flight is generally neither here nor there when we fly on short-haul flights, but long-haul travel has its own challenges, even for seasoned travelers. Crying babies and noisy fellow passengers are some of the common problems that one usually faces in the air but there is nothing one can do about it. Another thing you can do is book a business class ticket if affordability is not a problem for you, but if traveling in economy class is the only option, then choosing the right seat, and making a few small changes to your flying habits can help you sleep better on your next flight.

There are other things you can do to sleep more comfortably on your next trip:

Be careful when choosing your seat:

If you want to save money and stay in the main cabin, be careful while choosing your seat. Some fliers prefer window seats, so they have something to lean on while seats further away from the toilets are good if you want to avoid any hustle and bustle during the flight.

Turn off your devices:

Turn off your gadgets, take out the magazine and dive into something relaxing to give your brain a chance to drift off to sleep instead of distracting yourself with noisy gadgets.

Avoid drinking coffee:

Especially during the daytime flight, avoid the temptation to drink coffee because caffeine can prevent you from falling asleep and make you more tired.

Bring your own blanket and pillow:

Usually, you get a blanket or pillow when traveling on an international flight. But you make yourself feel better and more comfortable by bringing your own blanket. And if you plan to use it in-flight, ask the flight attendant to get one for you if it’s not already there.

Your belt buckle should be visible:

Got your comfortable seat position? Make sure your belt buckle is visible so the flight attendant doesn’t disturb you by ordering you to fix it.
