TORONTO, May 14 – Save the date! June 1 and 2, TikTok held an event for creators and advertisers in Toronto, Canada. The first “#ForYou Summit” on the social network will take place in the real world and online, with a program that includes conferences on trends such as e-commerce, which are thriving on social media.

“In just a few short years, TikTok has become the center of media, entertainment, and culture around the world-and Canada is no exception. Canadians across the country now turn to TikTok to have fun, to find out if “what’s the trend and find out what products to buy. Now, it’s time for Canadian brands and agencies to join the event,” TikTok announced.

The social network summit will be a two -day event. The first day of the “#ForYou Summit” will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at Meridian Hall, Toronto, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Participants will attend a keynote presentation from the Canadian TikTok team, discover research insights, meet creators and enjoy musical performances.

The second day, Thursday, June 2 – this time held online – will be an opportunity to focus on current trends such as social media commerce, including “TikTok Made Me Buy It,” as well as to discuss strategies for platform success. “TikTok invites you to join us – live and in person – for our very first #ForYou Summit: Canada in Toronto, followed by a day of #ForYouniverse breakout sessions.”

Attending the summit is by invitation only. However, interested parties can still register by filling out the online form for a chance to participate. Registration closes Monday, May 30. Participants must also follow a specific Covid-19 protocol, including full vaccination. TikTok said it has the right to enforce other activity measures, such as wearing a mask and testing requirements. – ETX Studio
