 Travel advice for graduation weekend

TOPEKA (KSNT)-On the graduation weekend of the horizon at many schools across the state, there’s one thing you shouldn’t miss-how do you get there.

Those traveling by car to celebrate class in 2022 can plan ahead for travel expenses.

According to Gasbuddy, a website that aggregates gasoline prices from across the state, you can spend between $ 3.69 and $ 3.82 per gallon this weekend.

While we haven’t hit that $ 4 mark for regular fuel prices in the Topeka area, that doesn’t mean filling your tank won’t hurt your wallet.

27 The news met a father who was traveling from Texas to North Dakota to take his graduate home. He has advice for those looking for treks large and small.

“There are a couple apps that will tell you what the fuel price is in front of you,” Jim Bullis said. “Try and use that, it saves especially if you’re driving 1,000 miles like we did this weekend it turns out to be a lot of fuel.”

For most this weekend was the first of many trips for the upcoming summer season.

If you’re planning to travel, checking out which apps can help you save a little on the road can make a big difference in the long run.

Whether you’re traveling from the Big Apple to California or the Little Apple to Kansas City, there’s a safe graduation weekend on and off the road.
